Norwood and Brixton Foodbank

The Food Bank thinks no one in our community should have to face going hungry. Thatís why it provides three daysí nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people in crisis who are referred to them. They are part of a nationwide network of food banks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

The Nigel Grice Trio

Our music this morning will start with mellow jazz from the Nigel Grice Trio, with Nigel on Flute and Saxophone, Rolando on Guitar, and Alexander on Bass. Nigel's jazz quintet, with several guest players, gave one of the stand-out performances of the 2021 Festival.

String instruments

The Calton String Ensemble

The Calton Ensemble are a string quintet - 2 violins, and then viola, cello, and double bass. Audiences at previous Coffee mornings have greatly enjoyed their music. The Ensemble is made up of enthusiastic experienced amateurs, and they will play a musical variety selection. They perform locally in symphonic and chamber ensembles, and are looking forward to playing to raise funds for the Foodbank again.
