Opening the Herne Hill Music Festival is South London-based jazz singer and songwriter Nel Begley. A graduate of both Leeds Conservatoire and Guildhall School of Music & Drama, Nel blends classic jazz influences with a contemporary edge, delivering soulful melodies and heartfelt lyrics that captivate audiences. Nel will be joined by an outstanding trio of musicians: Honey Boulton (one of London’s premier guitarists and banjoists), the remarkably versatile Harry Brunt on saxophone and on Bass, her partner in both music and life, Luke Fowler.
Nel will be launching her brand-new album ‘Small Flame’. Available now on Bandcamp, signed copies of the CD will also be available on the night.
