Magic Tree

Garwyn and David Edward are the founders of the Magic Tree Collective, a platform for a multitude of creative projects all centered around a core ethos of celebrating the magic of nature through integrating music with art, poetry, meditation, and movement.

The collective cultivates a vibrant eco system of artists and creators in community through a variety of diverse projects bringing together artists from different cultural backgrounds and artistic disciplines. Drawing on folk music traditions, we compose and improvise original music in a variety of performances, events, and festivals with a recent highlight being a project with Sinfonia Cymru.

As a duo, Garwyn and David bring new and re-imagined Celtic folk music with voice, cello, and violin. A range of arrangements of Welsh folk songs and original works that bring in elements of the traditions of their mixed ethnic heritage.
